On the eastbound side of the A14 – just after the exit for a town called Glendon – there’s a service station. A 600 square-metre complex consisting entirely of three buildings: a Shell petrol garage, a Burger King: and – in 2016 – one of the last Little Chef restaurants to still be in operation…

Normally, reaching the service station would require a two mile walk from the east side of Glendon – past the cricket club and through thick wooodlands… but on February 17th, 2005 – Stacey Pinkos and her friends didn’t need to walk. A boy named Ollie Cole offered to drive them...”

In 2005, Madhia, Danielle and Stacey attend a party. After the party, Stacey is missing. She is never found. Now, in 2016, her best friend, Madhia is returning home to find out what happened to her – to find the truth. but when an interview with Danielle reveals a new detail about Stacey’s disappearance, Madhia is left with more questions than she ever could have imagined…

Burger Chef combines true crime, coming-of-age and UFOs in an extra-terrestrial exploration of friendship in rural Northamptonshire.
